The summoned MVPs in the rental room have no special additions or settings, they're the official (RE) MVPs, which means that
the ones that you've seen casting coma were given this skill by Gravity.
Disabling is an option, although I'm not too fond about it. This is somewhat an excuse to go with a party instead of alone.
